It’s been the summer of love for some, but it was the summer of heartbreak for others. And while summer 2019 is coming to an end, sadly so did some of our favorite celeb relationships.

What’s up? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and you know we are hopeless romantics over here at Clevver.

So obviously, I’ve been totally here for Shawn and Camila’s summer of love and the Ariana Grande Mikey Foster dating rumors.

But sadly, this hot girl summer hasn’t been all steamy pool make outs and hand holding through the streets.

It’s looked a bit more like this…

And some of our favorite Hollywood couples have called it quits, so we just want to take a moment to remember their love before we move on into fall later this month.

The most shocking break up of the summer that took the world by a storm was Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s.

Like, child and adult me were both not well when this news broke.

After getting married and spending 10 years together, on and off, Miley and Liam’s romance ended this summer.

They’ve broken up twice before, each time more heartbreaking than the last.

And when they finally got married I was like this is it! The rom com love story we all have been waiting for.

But I guess not, and this break up feels permanent.

Miley has already moved on and Liam has reportedly already filed for divorce.

All good things must come to an end… ugh but do they really have to?!
Moving on to another heartbreaking split brought to you by summer 2019.

Bella Hadid and The Weeknd.

Another on again, off again couple that we thought had finally made it through to the other side.

I guess the second time wasn’t the charm for the ex-couple who broke up this summer after getting back together last summer.

They finally reconciled after The Weeknd publicly dated and broke up with Selena Gomez.

But for Bella and The Weeknd, it was their schedules that were to blame for the split, which gives us, and apparently Bella’s friends, hope that they could get back together.

A source told Hollywood Life that quote, “Those closest to Bella know that deep down there are still true feelings there and those feelings don’t just go away overnight. They have broken up before and it was simply due to scheduling conflicts because she’s busy […] So only time will tell, but there’s definitely a possibility things will work themselves out at some point.”

So I guess we will just have to wait and see if they can make it work again, and based on that source, I have to say, I kinda feel it coming.

Ok anyway, back to the couples that couldn’t take the summer heat.

The most confusing relationship news this summer, which we can’t even call a break up, was thanks to Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse.

It was reported that they broke up after Comic Con, but then Lili clapped back at the media and then Cole said something intricate and confusing, as Cole does.

And their W Magazine article clarified absolutely nothing with quotes like this, “Maybe I was reading between the lines—and, who knows, maybe Reinhart wanted me to—but I couldn’t help but think she was talking about one person in particular. Wink, wink. All good.”

Yeah, it’s confusing to say the very least.

Of course then Lili posted a poem for Cole on his birthday. And there’s been a number of different captions, comments and interviews, often making things more confusing… so the exact details of their relationship perhaps nobody will ever really know, but something tells me that’s how they like it!

Anyway, here’s to hoping that Hot Nerd Fall is more romantic than Hot Girl Summer.
