The results are in and it looks like the people of the internet are divided following the end of Shane’s ‘The Mind of Jake Paul’ docuseries – which, is honestly expected because Jake is such a polarizing figure.
Anyway, after the series ended, some users tweeted positive reactions to the series. One fan tweeted, “Shane Dawson really made me forgive Jake Paul and cry over him. What just happened –.”
While others sent messages of support to Shane when he started receiving hate after the series ended. One twitter user wrote QUOTE, “I don’t understand the hate Shane Dawson is getting gabout this docuseries. I dislike Jake Paul as much as the next, however, Shane put out hours of interesting content on this person in a different light than we usually see. Reaching out and giving him humanity isn’t a bad thing.”
Another tweeted, “Shane Dawson didn’t tell y’all to feel bad for Jake Paul. His docuseries was unbiased and pulling info from all sides of the story.”
But, as much as people tried to defend Shane on his docuseries, the hate and criticism just kept rolling in. I mean you guys, so many people were upset with the series that they started the hashtag ‘ShaneDawsonIsOverParty.’
One person tweeted, “Shane Dawson when Alissa Violet gets dragged down a flight of stairs vs Shane Dawson when Jake Paul gets cheated on.” With two photos of two completely different reactions. Another person tweeted, “the fact that Shane Dawson had a whole conversation with the girl that Jake Paul emotionally abused and pretended to sympathize with her and validate what she went through and then still goes out and calls jake family and says he love him…dear f–king god.”
And another user just tweeted, “Just a reminder folks: the new shane dawson video is the same running time as eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. So would you rather watch one of the greatest films of the 2000s or a video about a racist youtuber that makes you sympathize with f–king jake paul?’ Wow, the criticism was RUTHLESS.
It eventually got so bad that Shane HAD to respond to one of them. After a user tweeted at Shane in all caps: ‘STOP GIVING RACISTS A PLATFORM,’ Shane responded with QUOTE, “I just posted hours and hours and hours and hours of content this month FOR FREE. Literally FUCK OFF.”
