Taylor Swift EMOTIONAL Over Katy Perry Reconciliation!

We all saw Taylor Swift and Katy Perry hug it out as a hamburger and French fries in Taylor’s You Need To Calm Down Music video, but we didn’t see how emotional their reconciliation was behind the scenes.

What’s up guys? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and Taylor Swift just opened up about not only being civil, but becoming friends with Katy Perry again.

She told the UK radio show Heart Breakfast that she was feeling all the feelings when they shot that scene in the video because there was so much more to it than it seems on the surface.

It was emotional for me too! I have been waiting five years for this moment.

And Taylor went on to reveal that she and Katy have actually been friends for longer than we thought.

I am feeling all the feelings just thinking about this. My two queens finally together again.

Taylor also told Heart Breakfast that she and Katy actually had a run in at a party similar to how they run into each other in the music video, you know, minus the hamburger and French fries costumes.

She said quote, “It was like just fully sincere and fully like we realized like we’ve grown up, we’ve grown enough to realize the fact that us feeling pitted against each other for so long really did add to whatever tension we were feeling in our friendship and like, it’s just a really, it’s a really positive thing for both of us in our lives.”

I’m not crying you’re crying!

But how did Taylor and Katy get to where we are today from the drama filled past few years?

In case you were living under a rock, the singers reportedly feuded over backup dancers, which let to a string of songs, responses, and just overall shade between Katy and Taylor.

Until last year when they buried the hatchet.

Katy made the first move in their reconciliation when she sent Taylor an actual olive branch on the first night of her Reputation tour.
Now that’s symbolic AF.

And since then Katy and Taylor have been liking each other’s posts on social media again.

And Taylor even added Katy’s new song to her Apple Music playlist.

But if that wasn’t enough proof for you that these two had made up before Taylor’s music video dropped, just one week ago Katy posted this picture of cookies and tagged Taylor Swift. The caption said quote, “feels good ? @taylorswift”

So there you have it. They are not only just civil, but Taylor and Katy are actually friends again.
