Selena Gomez Reveals Why She Wore Hospital Bracelet In «Bad Liar» Video

It’s a brand new era of Selena Gomez, and as seen from her newest hit “Bad Liar”, you best believe she’s ready to share with fans more than ever before.
Selena’s in a good place and happier than she’s ever been, so something tells us this is only the beginning.

The day Selena Gomez dropped her newest single “Bad Liar”, the track stirred up a wave of confusion and concern within her fandom, but for a much different reason than the music itself. Fans were quick to notice the song’s cover art where Selena appeared to be wearing a hospital bracelet and bandage on her arm – but to our surprise, this minor detail was fully intentional. Sel sat down with MTV’s Meredith Graves where she explained her reasoning behind this much more vulnerable side of her. Take a look:
Selena went on to add that the raw vulnerability of the hospital bracelet, saying QUOTE, “It kind of symbolizes what “Bad Liar” is where you’re in that ‘stuck’ moment, where this is the feeling that I can’t help but overtake what I’m going through, so it kind of symbolizes what the song is and where I am personally.”

Although she’s grown tremendously in her personal life, that is soon to show in her professional life as well. Selena revealed that she sampled the Talking Heads for the new sound in “Bad Liar” and that this may be a start of new shift in her career.
By the sound of it, Sel’s new music will be quite the eclectic mix, after revealing she finds inspiration from horror films to Patsy Cline. She said QUOTE, “That’s just where my head has been. Stuff that makes me feel like I’m in the country, like Patsy Cline, that has this creepy vibe to it. It sounds odd but it makes me feel something.”

We have no doubt the rest of her forthcoming album will be just as tasteful and catchy as “Bad Liar”, in fact, it’s so catchy to some fans, that one even had the ability to sing it while asleep. Don’t believe me? See for yourself:
The video of the adorable 4-year-old singing along to “Bad Liar” has been liked, shared and retweeted thousands of times on social media, so it was only a matter of time until Selena got wind of it. She reacted to the video on 92.3 AMP Radio hosts, saying, “I love making people happy, genuinely it makes me happy. So when I see things like that it just makes my whole day. I just saw a bunch of videos of people enjoying their time, and that was just a special moment between a mom and son.”
