Last night Rihanna continued her guest spot as Psycho’s Marion Crane on the 5th season of Bates Motel and took on the iconic shower scene. We see Rihanna get stalked by hotel owner Norman in her room through a hole in the wall. He watches as Rihanna gets undressed and slowly ditches her red lingerie. The intensity grows when Rihanna steps into the shower.
Did anyone else notice she showered with her earrings on? A totally Rihanna moment. But the big Riri touch was at the end of the shower scene just when we thought she was about to get murdered, this happened!
Unlike the original Psycho character Marion Crane, Rihanna survives the shower scene and makes it out alive. But fans dying for the classic scene weren’t left disappointed! Later in the episode Norman surprises Marion’s boyfriend Sam while in the shower and stabs him with a butcher’s knife- recreating the famous murder scene.

Such a bullshit twist, I’ve been waiting since season 1 to see the infamous shower scene and what we get is Sam Loomis in the shower scene?! I don’t mind the show changing things from the original film, but changing one of the most infamous scenes in film history? Just plain dumb.
I feel like I’m the only one disappointed with it. but then again, im not. The original shower scene is a form of tension and cinemagraphic genius that it can never be done again. so in the end result, im kinda annoyed that they brought ri in for it but then I’m not.
I laughed so hard at the end of Eps. 6. Bates Motel is so completely ruined now. Big disappointment!!
!! Won’t even bother to watch the last 4. I’m done! lmao.
