  1. I thought Rooney Mara was wonderful in the first one, wonder if it’s her choice or Sony’s that she’s not in this. She gave up hope that they were going to do a sequel at any point. That being said…why exactly are we jumping over books two & three to adapt book four into a movie? Does the studio think the audience doesn’t even want to watch a movie of the middle of the story anymore? Or are they bookending it and filling in the rest later? I’m assuming they’re just saying to hell with it and never bothering with the middle two.
