Maroon 5 has reportedly “pretty much accepted” an offer to perform the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime show.

This is something the band has wanted for YEARS, so if it’s true they must be over the moon.

According to Us Weekly, Maroon 5 has been invited to headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show, following in the footsteps of performers like Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake.

A source at Us Weekly said of the deal QUOTE, “The offer has been extended and they’ve pretty much accepted.”

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will certainly be happy with this news, as he previously told Howard Stern back in 2015, “We very actively want to play the Super Bowl.” The Voice Coach also revealed at the time that the group had been on a shortlist to do the gig for a while, which means this has been a long time coming.

Maroon 5 are currently on their “Red Pill Blues” tour, but they have a break between a Las Vegas New Year’s Eve gig and the Australian leg of their tour at the end of February, so they’re wide open to play Super Bowl 53 on February 3rd.

Alright guys now I wanna hear your thoughts on Maroon 5 doing the Super Bowl halftime show — and would you wanna see any of Adam’s co-stars from ‘The Voice’ make a cameo during the performance? Sound off with all your thoughts and feelings in the comments below.
