Logan Paul is taking a break from YouTube since receiving TONS of backlash over his vlog where he goes into the Japanese Suicide Forest and films the dead body of an apparent victim of suicide.

Logan has publicly apologized twice for his actions and now he’s announced that he’s taking a break from vlogging. But will it be enough?

We went into 2018 with such high hopes, but Logan Paul has made the first four days feel like it’s already been a month. On Sunday, the 22-year-old YouTuber uploaded a vlog to his channel titled “ We found a dead body in the Japanese Suicide Forest”. In the video, Logan and his friends film their walk through Aokigahara (AO-KIGA-HERA), a forest at the based of Mount Fuji that is notorious for the high number of suicides that occur there.

Logan discovered a dead body in the forest and proceeded to film the body and laugh about the situation, later saying that it was his coping mechanism and that he didn’t find it funny. People were outraged that Logan uploaded the video and he quickly apologized posting a note to Twitter.

His first apology said things like QUOTE “I do this sh*t every day. I’ve made a 15 minute TV show EVERY SINGLE DAY for the past 460+ days. One may understand that it’s easy to get caught up in the moment without fully weighing the possible ramifications.”

The apology wasn’t enough and people saw it to be QUOTE “tone-deaf” and “self-praising”. Logan removed the vlog in its entirety and uploaded a minute and 45 second video apology saying that he should have put the cameras down and that fans defending him saying “For my fans who are defending my actions, please don’t. They do not deserve to be defended.”

Logan is known for posting a new vlog every single day, so when a new video wasn’t posted to his channel, he tweeted out saying that there will be a little vlog hiatus. Logan said QUOTE “taking time to reflect, no vlog for now, see you soon”

We’re hoping that Logan really is taking this moment in time to reflect on his actions and understand the influential role he plays in the over 15 million subscribers who look up to him.

Do you think that Logan should continue to vlog or should this hiatus become more permanent? Let us know in the comments below and then click here to see all the YouTube channels that ended in 2017. I’m Drew Dorsey, thanks for tuning in.
