Little Mix is finally back at it again, after not getting any new music for 10 whole months. Their newest release is actually a collaboration with Cheat Codes and it just dropped just yesterday. This new pop/dance single, “Only You” is fresh and honestly, not like anything else we’ve heard from the group before. Take a listen for yourself!
The chorus of this post-break up BOP goes «Once upon a time we had it all. Somewhere down the line we went and lost it. One brick at a time we watched it fall. I’m broken here tonight and darling, no one else can fix me. Only you, only you.»
This is truly the song of the summer we’ve been waiting for. Cheat Codes spoke on what “Only You” is about, saying QUOTE “ «When we did ‘Only You’ we wanted to tell a story that a lot of people are familiar with, like picturing love as your favourite movie and this is the final scene. You don’t want it to ever end but unfortunately there’s no way to rewind the footage, the memories of that love are all we hold. Only You is about that special someone that no matter where you are in the universe your stars still align.»
Little Mix themselves called the new track a “summer anthem” and it’s looking like their fans are agreeing. Actually, before the song even dropped, Mixers all over the interwebs were already showing their support on twitter. How you may ask? Well, It all started when one Mixer named Bea tweeted “to celebrate and also promote the new music that is coming I think it would be nice if every single one of us changed our name to “Only Y/N” As an example, my name is beas so I’ll change to «Only Bea».
