Kanye West and crew took over Coachella and it’s safe to say the performance was truly unlike ANYTHING else festival-goers had seen all weekend.
What’s up Guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here for Clevver News.
So, yesterday the public FINALLY got a glimpse into Kanye’s famous Sunday Service that nicely fell on Easter Sunday. And when I say glimpse, I mean that literally, the entire stream was viewed through a peephole just like this…
Before we get into the details of the performance, I’ve gotta share a couple of these twitter reactions on the whole peep-hole thing, because they were everything – like:
Ok, enough about toilet rolls and peepholes, the much-anticipated Coachella performance drew a MASSIVE star-studded crowd and was *TWO HOURS* long. Kanye was joined on stage by Chance the Rapper, Teyana Taylor, and Kid Cudi– just to name a few.
Everyone in the choir was matching in pastel pinks and purples. Kanye even took it to the next level and dyed his hair purple for the event.
The Service was closed out by a prayer from DMX, and a group rendition of “Jesus Walks.” The whole thing proved to be pretty emotional for Kanye as he was seen crying in the final hour of the performance as well as getting on his knees for prayer.
As hoped, the service was a family affair- Kim posted videos of her and North getting hyped up in the car as they headed to the service.
And in case you missed it during the stream, North and her cousins all had a chance to run up and perform during the service.
Khloe, Kendall, Kourtney, Kylie and mamma Kris were all there too, as they watched on enjoying the performance.
Of course, that’s in addition to the rest of the A-listers in the crowd- other attendees reportedly included Idris Elba and the Biebers.
And for anyone who wanted to remember the monumental event, there was even Sunday Service merch for sale–
AND it all came at a pretty HEFTY price tag. Sweaters were selling for up to $225, and socks at $50. The online reactions were hilarious…
Ofcourse, I should add that Kanye, never one to miss an opportunity, dropped a new song called “Water” that her performed during the service.
