John Cena PROPOSES To Nikki Bella At Wrestlemania 33

Pro wrestling’s biggest night was especially memorable this year for John Cena who popped the question to longtime girlfriend Nikki Bella after a victorious win.
And what better way to be proposed to with a giant ring while standing inside of a giant ring?

It was quite the successful smackdown Sunday for John Cena to say the least! After having his love publicly questioned by wrestling rivals The Miz and his wife Maryse, John proposed to his long-time girlfriend Nikki Bella during last night’s Wrestlemania after the newly engaged couple beat the two in a tag-team match.

John and Nikki appeared on The Today Show this morning where he opened up about popping the question, also revealing that he had been planning this for quite some time. John also explained that Nikki has been his support system through a number of surgeries and joked about the anesthesia AKA ‘truth serum’, saying QUOTE, “I know when they put you under anesthesia, you have 20 minutes when you’re out of it but you can talk and you don’t remember what’s going on. They’re going to put me under. Ask me whatever you want. You’re going to get the answer.”

But the tables turned when it was Nikki’s turn following her neck surgery last year. John managed to slip in the most important question to which he wouldn’t tell her until a year-and-a-half later, and I’m thinking she now has a good idea of what that question was…

John’s failure to pop the question sooner was due to the rivalry that led him and Nikki to battle it out with The Miz and Maryse at Wrestlemania as the rival couple taunted John for his inability to love anybody more than he loves himself. But that was clearly not the case this weekend, as the two shared a moment post-proposal tearing up in each other’s arms.
