Emma Stone may not have been able to accept one fan’s La La Land themed-promposal, but she was able to guarantee that he and his date were entirely prom-ready.
She may have had to decline the promposal, but let it be known that Emma Stone will never leave you hangin’ high and dry.
You all remember the promposal that went viral when Arizona teen Jacob Staudenmaier recreated a La La Land-themed skit for the one and only Emma Stone, because really, how could you forget it?
His promposal alone perfectly resembled La La Land’s opening song and was enough to get Emma’s attention, let alone the fact that many dubbed Jacob as a ‘young Ryan Gosling look-a-like’, and although Emma has since responded with a sweet message back to Jacob declining his proposal due to her work schedule, the surprises didn’t stop there.
The Daily Mail reported that Emma sent Jacob and his date, Caitlin Teefy, a boutonniere and a matching corsage for the big night, along with a handwritten note, saying QUOTE, “Jacob, a little something for you and your lucky date tomorrow. Have a great time! Much love, Emma Stone.”
Jacob previously appeared on Good Morning America where he read Emma’s message out loud, and at the time of the interview also claimed that he wanted to go stag and have a great time with all his friends, however, his plans clearly changed seeing the photo Jacob posted with his date, and the two wearing the matching floral gifts sent by Emma.
Jacob and his date seemed to have a great time at prom, except for one minor speed bump, as he later wrote about his night in a caption of a YouTube video, “I suck at captions but prom was fun except for when our bus driver break checked us and we went flying.”

Why do teenage guys even bother asking a famous celebrity to prom? It’s not like she’s going to come all the way to attend, and the whole situation is just cringe and awkward.
La La Land deserved Best Picture, I’m not over it.
