Demi Lovato has always been an advocate for healthy living and body positivity, but just in case you needed a quick boost of inspiration, she’s here to spread a little extra love this week.
And according to Demi, life’s just too short, so always remember to love your body, and for the love of all that is good and delicious, EAT THE CARBS.

We’ve all had ‘those days’ of feeling a little down on ourselves for feeling those few extra pounds or that obnoxious bloat, but Demi Lovato, who’s been in and out of rehab for battling eating disorders, is here to encourage us all to celebrate our bodies no matter the shape or size.

Last night in the midst of shooting the music video for her newest collab “No Promises” with Cheat Code, Demi wrote a series of tweets, revealing her method of coping with those ‘bad body days’, saying QUOTE, “Sometimes when I’m having bad body image issue days, I remind myself that I’d rather live in freedom from my eating disorder than worry about what people think about my body. I am more than a number and a jean size. Fuck yeah!”

Demi has always been open about her past struggles with learning to love her body, but the tweets are a good reminder that just because we have a few bad days, doesn’t mean we need to constantly beat ourselves up over it. Now happily dating MMA fighter Guilherme Vasconcelos, Demi has also been channeling any negative energy in the gym practicing mixed martial arts herself.

But the feel-good doesn’t stop there. Demi also took to Instagram to share a stunning photo of herself, along with the caption QUOTE, “Feeling better than I’ve ever felt. It’s all about self-love. Tell yourself you’re beautiful daily. Be gentle with yourself. Eat carbs without guilt and remember that life is too short to worry about what others think!!”

And just last Friday, which also conveniently happened to be World Health Day, she shared yet another Instagram post featuring a headshot of herself in front of a red backdrop with the caption, “Every day you have the chance to turn it all around. Take care of your body and mind, and it will take care of you back #WorldHealthDay.”

Ok so if Demi says it’s ok to eat the carbs, then that donut in the kitchen with my name on it is totally free game, right? But in all seriousness, we could ALL use a little pick-me-up from time to time, so thanks to Demi for spreading love when much needed. So right now I want to know all your thoughts on Demi’s body-positive messages, so share all your thoughts along with your own positive message down here in the comments, and after that, you can click right over here to get all the scoop on those Katy Perry/Ryan Phillippe dating rumors that blasted the interwebs yesterday.
