Ariana Grande had an important message for all those haters during her Dangerous Woman Tour launch in Phoenix Arizona yesterday. A video of Ari comes up on the stage with her dressed in dance attire which is giving us total FlashDance vibes, all while words flash up on the screen like, grounded playful, and sexual. But one phrase in particular stood out among all the rest and that is “Not asking for it.” We can assume this is a direct dig at all of those slut shamers.
Remember back in December when Ariana opened up about when a fan of her boyfriend Mac Miller said to her, “I see you hittin that.” Ariana felt very disgusted by this comment saying quote, ““This may not seem like a big deal to some of you but I felt sick and objectified.” And so begins the shaming when critics came out of the wood work like right wing activist Lauren Southern, who posted a picture of Ariana wearing leotards on stage and stated quote, “Tfw you really don’t want guys to objectify you.”
You best believe Ari now has the last word in this Dangerous Woman Tour video all while being the strong and classy Ariana Grande we know and love.
