  1. I was surprised about Ross Butler because they claimed to cast a hapa coz he was «perfect» for the role whilst secretly they were auditioning hapas; henry was not the ONLY one!

The reality is the only actors suitable were british (east) asians so it would be intresting see if they actually reached out to british asian ACTORS!

  2. I could really see Jamie chung as Rachel Chu. But the irony is… it’s an all Asian cast, but you kinda sort had to be Chinese or of that descent to be in the film. Michelle Yeoh is Malaysian, but her background is Chinese. Hate to say this and I will come off as the bad guy, but I find it hard to believe that of all the thousands of Asian Actors in hollywood, they could not find the one that fit Nick Young? I almost feel like a veteran asian actor would’ve been much more deserving of the role and get that opportunity.

    • +da96103 yeah I don’t know why they even auditioned asian americans they would not be able to pull off a English accent in time it would have been ropey.
I’m sure there were experienced british asian actors that may have been right but alas, henry ticked the boxes.

    • I think jamie went for Astrid but she is prettier and has a better personality than constance, so I would have picked her for Racheal.
She should definitely be in the sequel tho.
