From Beyonce to Cardi B to Walmart Yodel Boy’s debut, the first weekend of Coachella was definitely one to remember.
Even though was a weekend filled with some of the world’s biggest musical acts, it’s safe to say that Beyonce dominated the whole festival with her incredible set. Kicking off our list of best moments from the first weekend of Coachella is the incredible Destiny’s Child reunion that happened during B’s set.
Every fan knows that Destiny’s Child reunions are VERY rare – their last reunion was in 2013 at Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime show — so it only makes sense that their surprise performance is on our list.
Following DC3’s reunion is, well, Beyonce’s ENTIRE set. Yonce managed to snatch every person’s weave with her incredible performances and honestly, if we didn’t group together B’s iconic Coachella set as one of the best moments then this list would have to be called 10 best moments from Beyonce’s Coachella Performance.
Rihanna also made it onto our list for getting her life during Beyonce’s set.
And of course how could we forget Cardi B? Not only did she put on a show while being PREGNANT, she still managed to get turnt on stage and twerk for the audience.
Aside from her twerking Cardi also brought out Chance the Rapper on stage for a duet and it was pretty amazing.
After becoming a viral sensation, Mason Ramsey AKA Walmart Yodel boy made his debut at Coachella this past weekend.
According to Whethan, Mason was supposed to be playing his school talent show that night but decided to perform Coachella instead. Performing at Coachella was the clearly better choice because if Mason didn’t go he definitely wouldn’t have been able to meet Justin Bieber.
This past weekend consisted of a LOT of surprise appearances from musical guest stars. During Eminem’s set he brought out Dr. Dre and together the two performed a number of iconic songs including “Still D.R.E.”, “Nothin’ but a G Thang,” and a few others.
Meanwhile, SZA brought out Kendrick Lamar during her set and they performed “Doves in the Wind” as well as their collab from the Black Panther soundtrack, “All The Stars.”
While all of the performances we listed so far hyped up the Coachella crowd, The Weeknd’s set evoked a more mellow and emotional feeling from the crowd. Especially when he sang “Call Out My Name” and seemly cried on stage.
Did all of that make you guys wish you were actually there for those performances? Let me know in the comment section below.
